Description
September 6, 1995 is one of the most memorable days in baseball history. On that day at Camden Yards, Cal Ripken Jr. broke Lou Gehrig’s “unbreakable” streak of consecutive games played, as Ripken played in his 2,131st straight game. He went on to play in 500 more games, leaving the record at 2,632. But his accomplishments went well beyond that streak. In 21 seasons with the O’s, Ripken was a 19-time All-Star, had 3,184 career hits and hit 431 home runs. Cal won the Rookie of the Year in ’82, and AL MVP awards in ’83 and ’91. He was inducted into Cooperstown with the highest percentage of votes ever in 2007. Honor one of the most amazing careers in baseball history when you wear this Cal Ripken Jr. Cooperstown tee by Nike. Featuring a print of the “Iron Man” on the front with a throwback team logo on the back yoke, this Orioles tee will have the legacy of Ripken passed on for generations.
