After joining the White Sox, Carlton Fisk played an instrumental role in helping the team win its first American League Western Division title in 1983. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 2000. On August 4, 1985 Carlton Fisk caught all nine innings of Tom Seaver's complete game and 300th career victory.
