Nolan Ryan played in the Major Leagues for 27 seasons from 1966 to 1993, the longest for any MLB player. He made eight All-Star game appearances and his 5,714 career strikeouts rank first in baseball history. Ryan is most remembered for pitching an all-time record seven no-hitters, three more than any other pitcher. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1999.
