Robin Yount is a rare breed of baseball player. Yount spent his entire 20-year career with the Milwaukee Brewers, posting a .285 batting average, 3,142 hits, 251 home runs and 1,406 RBIs. In 1992, he became the 17th member of the 3,000 club. He collected more hits than any other player in the 1980s. In short, Yount was an integral part of the Brewers’ team from 1974 to 1993. Yount still holds team records for a number of statistics, including games, at-bats, hits, runs, doubles, triples, and home runs, to name a few. In 1999, the Brewers retired his number, #19, and he was elected into the Baseball Hall of Fame. Yount’s legacy as a Brewer continues to be felt to this very day.
