Nicknamed "Big Mac," Willie McCovey played twenty-one seasons in the Major Leagues as a first baseman. He spent nineteen of the seasons playing under the San Francisco banner. During his career, McCovey was regarded as one of the most feared hitters in baseball. He hit 521 homeruns, of which 231 were hit in Candlestick Park, the most hit there by any player. He was selected to six All-Star Games, had his #44 jersey retired by the Giants, and in 1986, he was inducted to the Hall of Fame. Celebrate the career of a baseball legend with his commemorative Hall of Fame coin card from The Highland Mint. It features a solid bronze Hall of Fame coin with a full color image of McCovey embedded in the center. Each coin is protected in a 4" x 6" acrylic display containing an image of McCovey in action on the front and a picture of his Hall of Fame plaque on the back. This set is strictly limited to the year McCovey was inducted and is officially licensed by the MLB and MLBPA.
