Winning the Winston Cup Series Championship in 1980 was only the start of Dale Earnhardt Sr.’s victorious and legendary racing career. He won a total of 76 races, which ultimately granted him a position in the inaugural class of the NASCAR Hall of Fame. Even though he’s no longer with us, Dale Sr. is still very much recognized by the infamous #3, a number worthy of only the greatest driver in NASCAR history.
