Though Rock Cartwright only played one season as a Kansas State Wildcat, he nevertheless made quite the impression on his team. When running back Johnno Lazetich was injured, Cartwright stepped up from the player reserves and proved he had what it takes to be a dependable member of the team, helping the Wildcats win the Southwestern Bell Cotton Bowl in 2001.
